About this event
It is well documented that rainfall and flooding events in Ohio have been increasing over the years. Weather patterns are changing and places that never flooded before are now being impacted. There are a multitude of factors that are exacerbating the impacts to our watersheds but by acknowledging the changes; we have taken the first step to looking at ways to mitigate future impacts. In Ohio, Conservancy Districts function to manage these type of impacts on a watershed scale. Join us on Tuesday, April 9th as we hear from Ohio's two largest watershed-based conservancy districts, (the Miami Conservancy District and the Muskingum Watershed Conservation District) as they share their observations about local precipitation trends and resulting streamflow-related damage. They will also discuss impacts to their facilities and infrastructure. Lastly, they will talk about the steps that they have taken to prioritize mitigation
activities.
Join the Ohio Stormwater Association for this interesting and helpful extreme weather webinar on Tuesday, April 9, 2025 from 11 AM to 12 PM. Professional Development Hour (PDH) certification available.
