About this event

More about our Speaker:

An integral member of MD’s litigation team, Megan has practical experience in multiple aspects of environmental litigation including drafting pleadings, motion practice, fact investigation, depositions and expert preparation. She recently deposed several witnesses and argued motions in a construction contract matter.

Megan regularly analyzes Phase I reports as part of the firm’s transactional practice. She conducted significant research on Integrated Planning, federal consent decree modifications, civil penalties under various federal environmental laws, and various questions under waste regulations including the Definition of Solid Waste, recycling provisions and hazardous waste exemptions. Megan tracks state and federal regulatory activity of proposed regulations for our clients.

Megan is a frequent speaker on hot topics in environmental law, including the impact of environmental justice concerns. While in law school, she completed a full-time capstone with the Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resource Division in Washington, DC. She also worked with several legal nonprofits in Northeast Ohio throughout law school.

Megan is admitted to practice in the State of Ohio, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Megan received her BS in biology from John Carroll University. She received her JD, cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and was the recipient of the 2019 Stanley I. and Hope S. Adelstein Environmental Law Award for best prepared environmental law paper.
